Chapter 73

Elisa stood perfectly still by the holographic data table. She watched the absolute destruction of August's ego and Allena's fake persona. Her heart beat with a slow, steady, incredibly satisfying rhythm.
She walked over to Alastair's side. She gave him a small, respectful nod.
"I will handle it, sir," Elisa said softly.
She turned to face August. Her black eyes were completely devoid of emotion. She looked at him not as a husband, not even as an enemy, but as a piece of trash that needed to be swept out of her workspace.
"Mr. Chambers," Elisa said, her voice a flat, freezing monotone. "I believe this meeting has concluded. The exit is behind you."
August stared at her. His chest heaved with violent, erratic breaths. The humiliation of being rejected by Alastair was burning a hole in his brain, but seeing
Elisa-his wife, the woman he thought he had crushed-standing there with such cold, untouchable authority completely shattered his control.
A dark, vicious, retaliatory light ignited in August's eyes. He let out a harsh, cruel laugh.
"Cromwell," August sneered, pointing a large, accusing finger directly at Elisa's face. "You talk about filth? You might want to look a little closer at your prized student. You have absolutely no idea who is standing next to you."
August took a step forward, his voice rising to a furious shout.

"She is the one with the rotting character!" August roared, his face twisting with malice. "She is the one obsessed with money! She is the one trying to destroy a genuine relationship out of pure, psychotic jealousy! Those news articles about her being a deranged stalker? I didn't invent them. They are the absolute truth!"
The air in the data center instantly turned to gasoline.
Alastair's face went completely rigid. The veins in his
neck popped against his skin. He slammed his open palm down onto the metal reception desk with a force that made the heavy computer monitors violently shake.
"Absolute garbage!" Alastair bellowed, his voice exploding like a bomb in the confined space.
He marched around the desk, closing the distance between himself and the billionaire. He pointed his finger inches from August's nose.
"Mr. Chambers," Alastair warned, his voice a low, terrifying growl. "I will give you exactly one warning. You are standing in my territory. And in my territory, insulting Faye is a direct, unforgivable insult to me!"
August physically recoiled from the sheer, dominant force of the CEO's anger, but his massive ego refused to back down.
"Facts are facts!" August yelled back, his face flushed. "Allena is the innocent victim here! Elisa is a liar!"
Alastair let out a sound of pure, aggressive disgust. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his smartphone. He remembered the encrypted file he

had prepared early this morning, along with the brief mental note: 'Just in case they try to leverage their way in.' His thumb swiped rapidly across the screen. He found what he was looking for and shoved the glowing screen directly into August's line of sight.
"Read it," Alastair commanded.
On the screen was a highly classified, encrypted PDF document. The bold black header read: Financial Investigation Report: Associated Transactions of the Sinclair Family Trust and Chambers Group.
"According to this preliminary financial sweep,"Alastair read aloud, his voice dripping with lethal precision, "Ms. Allena Mills occupies a highly lucrative, heavily shielded beneficiary position within a Sinclair family trust fund. A fund that was established and funded years before she supposedly 'met' you, Mr. Chambers."
Allena's sobbing instantly stopped.
Her breath hitched in her throat. Her face turned the color of dead ash. The report Alastair was holding proved she wasn't a poor, innocent victim who had stumbled into love. It proved she was a deeply
embedded financial parasite, tied to the very capital that had destroyed Elisa's mother.
Alastair lowered the phone. His eyes locked onto Allena with the cold, dead stare of an executioner.
"So, Ms. Mills," Alastair said, his voice dropping to a whisper that chilled the blood. "How much longer do you plan to perform this pathetic 'victim' routine?"
Allena's entire body began to violently shake. The absolute exposure of her lies shattered her fragile mind. She let out a piercing, hysterical scream.

"That is a lie!" Allena shrieked, tears and mascara running down her face. "You are slandering me! Elisa gave you that! She is just jealous of me!"
She lunged forward, pointing a shaking, venomous finger at Elisa.
"You are just a pathetic nurse!" Allena screamed, her voice cracking with pure hatred. "Why are you even standing in a room like this? You have absolutely no right to judge me!"
Alastair's patience completely snapped.
He took a massive step forward, putting his body
between Elisa and Allena. He raised his hand, his finger pointing directly between Allena's eyes. When he spoke, his voice was a roar of absolute, terrifying thunder.
"Shut your mouth!" Alastair exploded.
His finger trembled with rage, inches from Allena's tear-stained face.
"Homewrecker!" Alastair spat the word out like it was poison on his tongue. "In my eyes, intervening in a legally married household is an act of sheer social parasitism. My company does not study parasites,Mr. Chambers, and we certainly do not incubate them. That is my complete, final, and absolute professional assessment of your character!"
The word parasite echoed off the sterile metal walls. It hung in the air, heavy and undeniable. The two security guards by the door physically winced.

August looked as if he had been struck by lightning. He staggered back half a step. He could not process what was happening. A globally respected, billionaire tech titan was standing in his own headquarters, screaming the most degrading, humiliating insult
possible directly into the face of the woman August loved.②
"You cannot speak to her like that!" August roared, reaching out and grabbing Alastair's forearm in a desperate attempt to stop the verbal slaughter.
Alastair violently ripped his arm out of August's grip.He looked at the billionaire with a level of disgust usually reserved for cockroaches.
"Mr. Chambers," Alastair said, his chest heaving."You are a legally married man. And this woman is standing in my company, publicly parading herself as your romantic partner. In my dictionary, what exactly does that make her?"
Alastair leaned in, pronouncing every single syllable with agonizing, brutal force.
"It. Makes. Her. A. Homewrecker."
Allena let out a hollow, devastated whimper. Her knees buckled. She swayed heavily against August's side, practically collapsing into his arms, her face buried in his expensive suit jacket.
A dark, chaotic madness flared in August's eyes. He
whipped his head around and glared at Elisa. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with a homicidal rage.

"Elisa!" August snarled, his voice shaking. "You orchestrated this! What lies did you feed him?!"
Elisa stood by the data table. She looked at the pathetic, broken couple clinging to each other. Her face was a mask of absolute, chilling indifference.
"I didn't have to say a single word, Mr. Chambers,"Elisa replied softly. "The truth doesn't need my help to speak."
Alastair turned his back on them. He walked over to the reception desk and sat down, instantly resuming his posture as the untouchable corporate authority.
"Get out," Alastair ordered, not looking up. "My company does not welcome homewreckers. And it certainly does not welcome the weak men who protect them."
August's chest heaved violently. His breathing was ragged. He wrapped his arm tightly around Allena's waist, holding her up. He stared at Elisa with a look of pure, toxic hatred.
"Fine," August whispered, his voice a dark, vibrating promise of violence."Remember this day, Elisa."
Elisa met his gaze. Her black eyes were as cold as the deep ocean.
"I will," Elisa said. "It was the most entertaining moral execution I have ever witnessed."
August ground his teeth together so hard the sound was audible. He turned around, practically dragging the sobbing Allena toward the heavy electronic doors.

Just as they reached the threshold, Allena suddenly stopped. She twisted her head around. Her eyes were red, swollen, and filled with a demonic, venomous spite.
"You won't win this, Elisa Wilder," Allena hissed, her voice a raspy, ugly sound. "I swear to God, I will make you crawl on your knees and beg for my forgiveness."
Elisa didn't flinch. She didn't argue. She simply tilted her head slightlya tiny, pitying smile touching her lips. She didn't say a word:①
The heavy metal doors hissed shut, sealing with a
loud, final click. The pathetic, screaming performance was over. The data center was finally clean again.
